The Health Track is a plural and consecrated space for academic exchanges about game
research and development, aiming to bring together researchers, developers and those
interested in the interface between games and health, including their different dimensions,
such as physiological, psychological, social, philosophical, collective and ethical. By games, we
understand both digital games and analogue games, often called board games. Thus, it intends
to consolidate an fruitful space for discussion, action, production and dissemination of
knowledge in this emerging field which may bring great benefits for society.
The Health Track originated from the Games and Health Workshop, which had its first edition
in 2016, being held until 2019, always as part of the Brazilian Symposium on Games and Digital
Entertainment – SBGames. The Health Track invites everyone to submit papers that address
the field of Games and Health.

Work Formats
Papers can be submitted in two formats: Full Papers and Short Papers.
Full Papers are works describing research already completed, or in an advanced stage of completion, presenting an original contribution from the research results. Full papers can be submitted in both Portuguese and English. They must have a minimum of 7 pages and a maximum of 10 pages. The authors or representatives will present the approved works in technical sessions scheduled at the conference. The authors will be informed later by the committee about their sessions.
Short Papers are short articles that show research in an early stage of development, or research completed at the undergraduate or graduate level. The submissions can be in English or Portuguese and are limited to 4 pages. Approved short papers will be presented during a fast-track (by a 60s YouTube video) and commented by authors and representatives during technical sessions or posters scheduled at the conference. The authors will be informed later by the committee about their sessions.
Submission Instructions
Submissions will be made virtually using the JEMS system. Submissions will not be allowed by other channels. Full Papers and Short Papers will be subjected to a blind review system. Thus, any information that can identify the authors like name, affiliation, email, explicit self-references, acknowledgments, and projects, will disqualify the work, making it unavailable to evaluation.
As a placeholder for omitted information (name, email, affiliation, etc.), please use the tag [BLIND REVIEW]. Once the work is approved, such tags should be replaced by the correct data for the submission of the camera-ready. Only the camera-ready version of the approved papers should include authorship identification.
Evaluation
The evaluation of the best work will be based on the ratings of the reviewers. The grades will not be released and will be considered only to choose the best work.
Publication
Full papers and Short Papers will be published on the conference proceedings, but at least one
of the authors should be registered, attend to the event, and present the work at the
conference. The presentation of the paper and its publication in the proceedings also require
that at least one of the authors send the following Copyright Term duly signed.
In addition to publication, authors who present a paper will receive a presentation declaration.
The best paper will receive an honorable mention.
